Full Description
You will have the opportunity to:
get away from crowds and blaze our own trails, reach hidden places and gaze the rare treasures of the volcanic land, those the usual Car – Bus – Van Tours do not and cannot reach, “travel back and forth in time” while discussing the big dates and events that traced the perplex history of “Stroggyli” first, then “Kallisti” and finally “Santorini” Island (Santa Irene). Santorini’s wild beauty was made of lava and its shape changed many times through the years,
visit the remains of Medieval Kastellis and admire the breathtaking views over the Island from atop and over the Caldera from different angles,
walk along the rim of the caldera and see the local fauna by following the beautiful wine trails up and close to the so-called “Heart of Santorini” or “The Eye” of Santorini,
make a few stops for water, snacks and discussion while overlooking the astonishing scenery,
learn about the Santorinian wines, the role of the volcanic land and the limestone beneath, the different varieties and their alcohol volume while walking among the vineyards,
walk along the otherwordly volcanic dunes walking on the black sand of Eros Beach, swim the waters full of minerals, have a coffee or taste a cocktail at the beach bar in between Eros Beach and Vlychada bay, or drink a coffee at the Café of Tomato Museum (where you can also taste tomato paste and homemade tomato jam),
and finally, taste a traditionally cooked meal paired with local wine at a local taverna by the sea.
This is your choice to enjoy the many sights, tastes, and aromas of Santorini on your own terms.

Know before you go
The length of the hiking trail is nearly 10kms (6.2 miles). There are some parts of cobblestone and some dirt paths
Hiking experience is not needed. Though, being physically fit is a must.
The hike will take 2,5 to 3 hours depending on how fast you walk and how often you stop
Including optional hotel pick-up and drop off the total time this activity will take is 9 hours
